Is this actually true? I've been using AAA for years and I've never heard that they offer this on New Years. Seems almost too good to be true.

What if I dont drink but pretend I am drunk and just want my mustang that is in a ditch towed home?

Here is what I found on it. Apparently only in select locations. Luckily on of those locations is Utah!

Is that actually a real offer? Good on AAA if it is - are they American Alcoholics Anonymous? ;)

For what it's worth, I'm firmly of the view - following younger dumbass idiocy - that you shouldn't take your car at all if you're going to drink. If you do, of course it's better to leave the car take a lift home from someone, but the problem is that being drunk, or even just having had a couple, will make you do stupid things.

If you know when you're sober that you shouldn't drink and drive, then don't drive and drink.

I though the Mormons were against that.

Apparently it's only in certain states. One of the other Oppostles posted the link in his comment.

Drunk people often don't know they're drunk. Seen it a million times.

Well that would lend credence to your story...

I've known I was drunk, but because I was drunk I did the stupid and drove home anyway. It's so easy to kid yourself that it'll be fine, only to wake up the next day and realise what you did. I'm well aware how lucky I was not to hit anyone, and that I can't trust myself once I've had a couple. These days I just don't take the car if I'm going somewhere I'll want to drink, or if I do, I won't even have 'just one'.

Don't do it. Even if you don't die getting caught ruins your life.

You lose all contact with your friends and you're pretty much stuck putting your life on hold.

It's not worth it.
